Your child has mastered the fundamentals in 1st and 2nd grades, and is now ready to thrive through 3rd grade! But it’s not just another year: This grade is a very important time in your child’s education, because it’s when students transition from what are often known as the “lower grades” to the “upper grades.”
Students in 3rd grade will be taking IREAD-3, a state assessment that measures foundational reading standards. More information will be passed along to families as the school year goes on, but you may click on the IREAD3 link to the left for more information.
Also, you may click on the 3rd grade links to view our essential skills for both math and language arts. Essential skills are what students should master before entering 4th grade. Clicking on the teacher name will provide their contact information.
