Mission Statement
The mission of the Eastern Greene libraries is to provide an inviting, dynamic learning environment and appropriate services to support and enhance teaching, literacy, and learning.
EG libraries strive to

provide instruction in information literacy.

provide intellectual and physical access to materials in a variety of formats and media.

stimulate interest in reading and in finding and using information and ideas.

promote the use of the library by students and faculty.

work with teachers to develop educational strategies to meet students' information needs and to supplement teaching.

You can search for library books from home!
Elementary Middle School High School
When you open a database, you will see a menu with the following icons. You can select the one that matches what you’d like to do.
Search: Look for a specific title, author, topic, etc. (spelling must be correct).
Scout: Start typing the subject that you want to find, and the database will offer books for you to look through. You don’t even have to click an enter button.
Explore: Easy for patrons who need help with text-based searches. Just click the icons to find the books you would like to see.
Browse: You will feel like you’re looking at the library shelves with this option. Search by groupings such as newest books, genre, or reading level to browse through the books.
