Position Summary: Eastern Greene Middle School is looking for boys’ and girls' cross country coach.

Qualifications – Coaching Experience Preferred But Not Required
Description/Responsibilities:
● Oversee all aspects of the cross country team you are assigned to
● Communicate expectations to players and parents
● Communicate schedule and events with players and parents
● Lead Players and Coaches
○ Model appropriate behavior
○ Develop a team that the Eastern Greene Community will be proud of, on and off
of the course
Qualities/Abilities:
● A passion for coaching and mentoring
● Motivational and Engaging
○ Ability to recruit students to the sport
● Create excitement around the program

Qualifications:
Appropriate Indiana licensure
Experience and knowledge preferred
Interest in sponsoring/coaching extra-curricular activities preferred
Job Goal:
To carry out the aims and objectives of the 7th Grade Team and Science Department curriculum from introductory to advanced levels.
To instruct students in individual, small group, and large group settings for the success of all students.
To continue the expectation of excellence in the Science Department, and promote the growth of the programming offered to students.
Expectations:
Maintain high standards as a role model, both in and out of the classroom, while advocating the skills, mission, and objectives of the school and district
Be able to teach standards-based instruction in person
Be comfortable with online instruction and technology within the classroom
Promote good citizenship, be understanding and fair, and display a character of integrity
Effectively communicate with students, parents, and other teachers
Work in collaboration with other teachers, across all disciplines, to enhance the learning experience for all students
Demonstrate necessary organizational and leadership skills

All EGHS students are invited to attend after-school tutoring from 3:00pm to 4:00pm in the high school library, Mondays through Thursdays. This service will be offered for the entire '23 - '24 school year. The tutors are all EGHS teachers.
